Freeing a child from the horrors of exploitation, whether it’s in the sex trade or through backbreaking forced labor, gives him or her the chance to be a kid again. Establishing a child center in an impoverished community gives a child a new life through education, nourishing meals, and vital health care.

In some developing countries, as many as 75 percent of the children living in slums are forced into child labor and sexual exploitation due to extreme poverty. Some are drugged or violently abducted; others are promised schooling or a way to earn money for their families, but end up enslaved and broken.
